Bolster Investment Partners is acquiring a stake in Life & Mobility. Life & Mobility develops, assembles and distributes mobility and rehabilitation solutions for people with a functional disability, such as wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Bolster will support the company in its further growth and international expansion.
Life & Mobility, founded in 1952, makes premium mobility solutions that help people with a functional disability take part in daily life as independently as possible. Its portfolio ranges from manual and electric wheelchairs and seating systems to power add-ons and mobility scooters, with a strong focus on ergonomics and seating comfort. The company has strong in-house R&D and recently introduced, among others, the iFLOW, the Neox and the Newton seating system.
Life & Mobility is active in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France and operates from six locations. Its headquarters are in Doetinchem. The Netherlands is its most important market, accounting for over 75% of revenue in 2025. The company serves its users in close cooperation with dealers, care institutions and rehabilitation centres.
Over the coming years, the focus will be on further growth in Germany and France, continued development of the product range and targeted acquisitions. The management will participate in the new structure and also Synergia Capital Partners will remain involved in the company as a co-shareholder.
Completion of the transaction is expected in the period ahead, subject to customary conditions and approvals, including approval by the ACM and the Bundeskartellamt.
