WIND Subsea Cable Services is strengthening its position as a global service partner for the full life cycle of subsea cables with a strategic investment in the UK’s Tricore Technical Services. Tricore specializes in, among other things, testing, jointing and repairing these types of cables, as well as technical project support.
WIND’s clients are increasingly asking for integrated solutions from a single service partner, rather than separate providers for each service around the cable. The combination with Tricore makes it possible to serve cable manufacturers, installation companies, developers and transmission system operators more broadly and directly.
Tricore operates from the United Kingdom and supports developers and contractors worldwide within the offshore wind and energy sector. The company joins WIND’s international network, which operates from the Netherlands, Sweden, the United States, South Korea and Taiwan.
Bolster Investment Partners has been supporting WIND since 2023 in executing, among other things, a buy-and-build strategy. Tricore is the second add-on since Bolster’s shareholding, following Draftec (2024).

WIND Subsea Cable Services, based in Alkmaar, is the world market leader in the logistics, storage and recovery of subsea cables, particularly for offshore wind farms. With logistics hubs and local teams in ports across Europe, Asia and North America, WIND operates globally and carries out projects for renowned developers and owners of offshore wind farms. During the construction phase of these wind farms, WIND handles the handling, transport, and short- and long-term storage of the subsea (spare) cables.
