Bolster Investment Partners and Eternal Sun have won the M&A Award 2025 for Best Small-Cap Deal. Mark van Rijn (Managing Partner at Bolster) and Florian van Rijn van Alkemade (CEO of Eternal Sun) accepted the award during the 26th edition of the ceremony at the Beurs van Berlage.
The M&A Awards are the Dutch M&A sector’s annual awards ceremony, organised by Sijthoff Media (also known for MenA.nl). More than 1,000 dealmakers, advisors and investors come together to honour the best deals, firms and professionals of the year, across categories such as Best Deal, Best Deal Mid-Cap, Best Deal Small-Cap and various advisor awards.
The award for Bolster and Eternal Sun was given for the deal in which Bolster invested in Eternal Sun and, almost simultaneously, acquired the German company Wavelabs. Together, the companies are now the global market leader in LED solar simulators for solar panels and solar cells.
A complex transaction with its share of challenges along the way, successfully completed thanks to teamwork, creativity and perseverance.
